Dr Ravi Alapati by profession is a Gastroenterologist and is known for his “leave no kid behind” thought. He constantly encourages all kids to build self-confidence and prosper in their lives. He is very down to earth and treats fellow telugu citizens with utmost respect. He always believed in philanthropic causes and has helped start educational institutions, funds research activities that helps agriculture, and connects with a common man and a colleague alike. Dr Ravi Alapati is one among the cofounders of NATS and is a core member in the AskNATSDoctors program.
Currently, Dr Ravi Alapati is leading the entire Sambaralu team and is the Chairman of the Sambaralu event. When free, he likes to spend time with family and tries to venture into next generation agricultural, education and community services.
Prasad Papudesi is passionate about non-profit organizations and has a long history of his association with NATS. Currently, he is our National Treasurer and is the primary contact for NATS Helpline (1.888.4.TELUGU); a flagship initiative that is designed to help fellow telugu citizens facing hardships in life. His charitable contributions and volunteering activities are well known in the community and is just a testament of his giving back to the community ideals. Prasad is overlooking fundraising and the associated activities for Sambaralu event.
Outside of his charitable contributions and volunteer activities with non-profit organizations, Prasad Papudesi is the President of ProcessDonation.org, Connex Info Systems and is the co-founder of Ariv Systems, Inc. During his free time, he enjoys to spend time with family and ski/swim with his 5-year old son.
Madhu Bodapati is one of the few volunteers that you find in any telugu event that is conducted in and around Southern California. He volunteers his spare time to the telugu community is a proud supporter of NATS. He is known for his team building skills and works with most telugu organizations in the area to strengthen NATS and the activities/programs NATS conducts. Madhu actually travels across Southern California and extends himself to support fellow telugu citizens. To him, connecting with telugu community virtually is of no use when one can have greater influence in helping people in person. He is currently spearheading the Venue Operations team for Sambaralu 2015.
Outside of being associated with the Telugu community, Madhu works for AIG in Los Angeles. During his free time, next to spending time with his kids, he enjoys researching and follows the ever changing political landscape in India and United States.
Kishore Garikapati is known for his energy levels in conducting any charitable or non-profit events. He connects with NATS ideology on helping the telugu community at large. He often takes up the most physically challenging volunteer work and helps organizations to prosper in the events they conduct or participate in. He observes a lot, puts himself in others shoes, adds perspective to the change, and helps his fellow volunteers. To him, volunteer and their time are of utmost importance and he tries to educate others on his thought process. He is currently helping with all food related activities (Menu design, Food and Food Stalls) for the Sambaralu event.
Outside of his association with NATS, he is currently works for AIG in Los Angeles. When free, he loves spending time with his friends and is passionate about sharing major life event experiences with close ones.
Giri Kalluri is known for his contributions to LA NATS Chapter for his endless zeal of helping people enhance their skills set so they prosper in their professional lives. He has volunteered his time, money and his office facilities to conduct career guidance courses and many members of NATS family in Southern California recognize him for those efforts. His is quick to make decisions and stands by his word and commitment to the telugu community. He is currently helping the Sambaralu team is leading all efforts associated with Business Symposium.
Outside of his association with NATS and non-profit organizations, Giri is theChief Operations Officer at Technossus – a company dedicated to helping businesses leverage new strategies for transformation and
Vamsi Mohan Garikapati is associated with NATS for a long time and is well known for his ability to organize events sometimes at a stretch of 2-3 days. Every instance of someone reaching out for help, they bump into him and see him in every turn of the events. He is the treasurer for the NATS-Southern California local chapter. He is currently leading the Hospitality team for the Sambaralu event in Los Angeles.
Outside of his association with NATS, he currently works at Mitsubishi Motors. He is Certified Personal Trainer through NCCPT and Ultimate Cardio Trainer from National Academy of Sports Medicine, having expertise in Health Assessment, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition, Exercise Application, Back injury prevention and Femoroacetabular impingement. He successfully trained and motivated several clients. He is FEMA and Dept. of Home Land Security certified CERT, trained to assist Emergency Response Teams. He is also serving as the treasurer for American Society Of Engineers, Southern California Chapter.
Sunil Pathakamuri is reportedly the youngest and has played a key role in strengthening NATS LA Chapter in the Simi Valley / Tri Valley area in Southern California. He is known for spending his free time working for NATS and constantly looks for ways to strengthen the organization. He is often seen discussing what’s next at the end of every event and his energy levels are motivating to those that are around him. Currently, he is volunteering his time to Sambaralu team and has extended himself to be the Secretary for Sambaralu event.
Outside of his passion towards non-profit organization, he works for Spirent Communications specializing in industry leading ERP and CRM applications. When free, he enjoys time hiking and spends time with his family and often spoils his one year old son.
Sriram Valluri is an IT professional, specializing in Integration of Application Systems. He works as an Integration Architect, for a Retail Company based in Glendale. He lives in Eastvale along with his wife Sita, and two daughters- Neha and Diya.
He is proud to be a TELUGU and believes that language is an important part of the community development, and enrolled both of his daughters for Manabadi telugu program in Eastvale. In addition to being an active volunteer in NATS sambaralu team, he is an active member of TASC (Telugu Association of Southern California) and also a life member in LATA (Los Angeles Telugu Association). He has encouraged his kids to be volunteers in other programs like the Mahila Sambaralu, Sankranthi Celebrations and to participate in Dance programs as well.
When free, Sriram enjoys spending time with the family, gardening and watching movies.
Chandra S Nangineniis associated with NATS for a long time. Currently, he is the local chapter coordinator for Southern California. Chanduis well known for his efforts to strengthen NATS as an organization in Southern California. He is passionate about the programs NATS does and always looks out to strengthen the volunteer base for NATS across Southern California. He played a key role in successfully planning for the annual Mahila Sambaralu events and is now leading the efforts to bring all the local chapters together and liaise with the Sambaralu team in Los Angeles.
Outside of his association with NATS, Chandu works for as Software Development Manager at ITEL Inc of Kentucky. During his free time, he enjoys spending time in gym and catches up with his friends and family.
Dr Wenkat Alapati is a Psychiatrist by profession and is strong supporter in helping the kids connect with their roots by educating them on telugu culture and its heritage. He is often seen addressing others with a relation (thammudu, annayya, akka, vadina) and bestows the impression of a close family member. He is always in the forefront on helping the telugu community and often reaches out and checks how one is doing. His friendly nature and approachability makes you feel the positive energy that surrounds him which subsequently percolates to those around him. He is currently the Executive Sambaralu Conference Director and is helping the NATS Sambaralu team.
When free, he loves to spend time with his twins and educates them on the telugu heritage. His kids are seen playing the age old past time – burrakathalu (an onstage performance that is fading away under the smog of modernization) on stage connecting a lot of us with our lost treasures.
